Business Tax Receipt

A Business Tax Receipt is required of a business or profession located within the City Limits of Live Oak, or a business using City of Live Oak utilities.  In addition to the business tax receipt, a business will need to apply for a certificate of use through the Building Department (see the link below) as well as have all signage approved through the Development Manager (see link below).

Signage Application

The cost of the Business Tax Receipt is based upon the type of business or profession conducted. The receipt term is from October 1st through September 30th of any calendar year.

Applications for a Business Tax Receipt can be picked up at the City Hall located at 101 White Ave S.E. 

See the attached link to submit your application.  This will expedite the inspection process for a business/profession that is located within the City Limits of Live Oak.  You will be contacted by the City Building Official to schedule date and time for inspection.  After an inspection has been completed, your application will be finalized through the City Hall.

If a business/profession is conducted within the City Limits of Live Oak and no inspections are required; you will apply for application at the City Hall.
